David Wayne Slifka

David Wayne Slifka, 67, of Staunton, Illinois, passed away at 1:20 AM on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Evelyn's House in Creve Coeur, Missouri.  He was born October 14, 1955 in Litchfield, Illinois, the son of the late Frank & Sylvia (McKinnerney) Slifka.  He married Tammy Howerton on August 29, 1987 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Staunton, Illinois, & she survives.

Dave worked as a Truck Driver for over 50 years.

He is survived by his wife -  Tammy Slifka of Staunton, IL;  step-son -  Nicholas (Grace) Jones;  step-granddaughter -  Melanie Jones;  his sister -  Judith (Russell) Klein;  his brother -  Frank (Alice) Slifka;  mother-in-law -  Eileen Howerton;  brother-in-law - Randy Howerton;  sister-in-law -  Lori (Jimmy) Bain;  many nieces & nephews, great niees & great nephews also survive.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother -  Alan Slifka;  & his father-in-law -  Lester Howerton.

Private funeral services will be held at Net Community Church in Staunton, IL with Pastor Derrick Taylor officiating.  Private interment will be held at Spangle Cemetery near Livingston, Illinois.  Memorials are suggested to Evelyn's House Hospice Facility in Creve Coeur, Missouri.
