Danny Michki

Danny Michki, 83, of Staunton, IL, passed away at 11:04 PM on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at Community Hospital of Staunton, IL.  He was born October 1, 1942 in Terre Haute, IN, the son of the late John & Catherine (Bott) Michki.  He married Pam Lovejoy & she survives.

Danny was employed as an Electrician at Granite City Steel in Granite City, IL for many years, retiring in 1994, & served in the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1963.  He was an avid golfer, & won many golf tournaments over the years, from the time he was 14 years old on.  He also loved dogs, & fed every animal that found its way into their yard.

He is survived by his wife -  Pam Michki of Staunton, IL;  one son -  Danny Michki Jr. of Chicago, IL;  one daughter -  Terri (Wendy Whitworth) Michki of Benld, IL;  one grandson -  Alex Michki of Arizona;  one brother -  Jody Michki of Granite City, IL;  one sister -  Kathy Michki of Staunton, IL;  one nephew & three nieces -  Jessica,  Alexandria,  Cameron,  &  Sasha.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held at a later date.  Private burial will be at Spangle Cemetery near Livingston, IL at a later date.  Memorials are suggested to Adopt-A-Pet of Benld, IL.
