Damian P. Dobrinich

Damian P. Dobrinich, 58, of Staunton, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023 near Fillmore, Illinois.  He was born November 22, 1964, the son of the late Nicholas Joseph & Mary Olga (Nardin) Dobrinich Sr.  He married Dimitria "Wah-ker" Sies & they later divorced.

Damian worked as a Chemical Operator at Phillips 66 Refinery for 33 years, & also served his country in the U.S. Air Force.  He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church of Staunton, IL;  a past member of Staunton VFW Post #1241; & he loved fishing & hunting.

He is survived by one daughter -  Vanessa Dobrinich of Staunton, IL;  one son -  Nicholas (Kendall) Dobrinich of Highland, IL;  two grandchildren -  Madaline & Grayson Horne of Staunton, IL;  eight siblings -  Diana Newby of Mt. Olive, IL,  Nancy (Harold) Johns of Staunton, IL,  Mary (Paul) Reid of California,  Dan (Tammy) Dobrinich of Staunton, IL,  Linda (Bob) Summers of Staunton, IL,  Tina Dobrinich (Mengiste Ayele) of Bloomington, IL,  Laurie Dobrinich of Staunton, IL,  &  Jody Dobrinich of Staunton, IL;  many nieces & nephews also survive.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother -  Nicholas "Mickey" Dobrinich Jr.

Friends may call from 9 AM to 12 noon on Friday, November 24, 2023 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Staunton, Illinois.  A Funeral Mass will be held at 12 noon on Friday, November 24, 2023 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Staunton, IL, with burial in Calvary Cemetery in Mt. Olive, Illinois.  Memorials are suggested to St. Michael's Catholic Church of Staunton or to the family. 

The Staunton Military Honor Guard will conduct graveside military rites.
