Cynthia Ann (Byots) LaRosa

Cynthia Ann (Byots) LaRosa, 73, of Staunton passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at her residence in Staunton. Born July 23, 1947 in Litchfield, IL, she was a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. John & Violet (Milcic) Byots. She married Lino LaRosa on August 10, 1968 at Ascension Catholic Church in Mt. Olive, IL and he survives. She worked as a Proof Operator at First National Bank in Staunton for over 20 years. She would later work at Staunton Public Library. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Staunton and the Staunton Lions Club. She enjoyed reading and crafts.

She is survived by her husband, Lino LaRosa of Staunton, 1 son, Michael LaRosa of Staunton, 1 daughter, Mia LaRosa Scott of Bunker Hill, 1 sister, Jane Walchli of St. Louis, 1 sister-in-law, Tina LaRosa Rucker, 2 nephews, Ryan (Sasha) Walchli and Jeffrey Walchli, niece, Erin (Corey) Masterson, and lifetime friends, Joe & Robin Stranimeier.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers-in-law, Rick LaRosa and Steven Walchli.

Friends may call on Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 10 AM until 1 PM at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. Memorial services will follow at 1 PM at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton with Father Larry Anschutz officiating. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
