Conrad Sherman Kee, 87 of Staunton, IL passed away peacefully with family by his side at his residence on Monday, October 18, 2021. Born February 4, 1934, in Elco, IL, he was a son of the Late Mr. & Mrs. Jesse & Donetta (Brooks) Kee. He married Barbara Wilhite on June 24, 2018, in Staunton, IL and she survives. He worked as an Electrician with the United Steel Workers Union for 38 years. Conrad served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union and Trinity Methodist Church of Granite City, IL. He enjoyed the outdoors, long walks, and taking photographs.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Wilhite-Kee of Staunton, IL, 5 children, Tina (Vince) Lillis of Tampa, FL, Debby Marshall of Edwardsville, IL, Carey (Cody) Moore of Edwardsville, IL, Gary Wilhite II of Wood River, IL, and Ryan Wilhite of St. Louis, MO, 7 grandchildren, Adam & Ethan Kee, Ashley Stoeckel, Jessica Biel, Caitlyn, Nick, and Ava Tyczka, 1 great granddaughter, Kendra Stoeckel, 3 brothers, Denny, Bobby, and Stanley Kee, 1 sister, Donna Jean Mathis. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sons, Conrad Shawn Kee and Leland Hamilton Kee, 7 brothers, Lee, Jesse, Vernon, Eanos, George, Lester, and Dale Wayne Kee, 2 sisters Shirley Almedia and Betty Lou Kee.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 4, 2021, from 9 to 11 AM at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL. Memorial services will follow at 11 AM at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. Burial of cremains will follow Memorial services at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, IL. Memorials are suggested to either Staunton VFW Post # 1241, Wounded Warrior Project or the Sierra Club.
