Claudia Dianne (Lewis) Collins

Claudia Dianne (Lewis) Collins, 71, of Mt. Olive, IL, passed away at 10:47 AM on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at her residence near Mt. Olive, IL.  She was born October 26, 1954 in Jackson, MS, the daughter of the late Ralph A. & Margie (Whitehead) Lewis.  She married Floyd R. Collins on October 9, 1971 in Elkhart, IN & he survives.

She was employed as the Director of Housing Authority for Montgomery & Bond Counties for many years, & was also a member of Walshville Baptist Church in Walshville, IL, the DAV, & the Illinois Association of Housing Authorities.

She is survived by her husband -  Floyd R. Collins of Mt. Olive, IL;  two sons -  Floyd R. Collins Jr. of Charleston, IL,  &  Josh Collins of Mt. Olive, IL;  nine grandchildren;  three great grandchildren;  one sister -  Cathy Haverty of Tucson, AZ;  & many nieces, nephews, & cousins also survive.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter -  Jessi McCollum;  one son -  Jason Collins;  one sister -  Connie Coursey;  & one brother -  Alex Lewis.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Walshville Baptist Church in Walshville, IL.  A Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Walshville Baptist Church in Walshville, IL.
