Claudia (Robinson) Mathenia

Claudia Mathenia, 63, of Staunton, IL, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, IL, surrounded by her family & close friends.  She was born November 19, 1960 in Granite City, IL, the daughter of the late Luther & Faye (Parker) Robinson.  She married Mark W. Mathenia on June 16, 1978, & he passed away on January 28, 2024.

Claudia was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, doing puzzles, fishing, & adventures with the family.

She is survived by two children - Amanda (Jim) Daughtery,  Chris (Ellen) Mathenia;  ten grandchildren;  three great grandchildren;  three brothers -  James (Wanda) Robinson,  Bruce (Donna) Robinson,  &  Richard (Tonya) Robinson;  & many nieces & nephews.  Besides her husband & parents, she was preceded in death by one brother -  Michael Robinson.

Friends may call from 3 to 6 PM on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL.  Funeral services will be held at 6 PM on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, with Randy Braman officiating.  Private interment will be held at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, IL.
