Charles F. Sievers, 93 of rural Staunton, Illinois died at the home of his daughter & son-in-law in Bunker Hill, Illinois on Monday, March 16, 2020. Born June 8, 1926 in rural Alhambra, Illinois, he was a son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Albert & Bertha (Sievers) Sievers. He married Vera Gerdes on August 3, 1947 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive, Illinois and she died on December 12, 1996. Charles was baptized, confirmed, and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Douglas, Illinois. He was a life-long farmer and he helped with Sievers Catering & Family Restaurant on Route 4 south of Staunton, Illinois.
He is survived by 2 Sons - Herb (Linda) Sievers of Staunton, Illinois, Vernon (Tammy) Sievers of Mt. Olive, Illinois, 2 Daughters - Anita (Edward) Heinemeier of Bunker Hill, Illinois, Erma Parker of South Daytona, Florida. Numerous Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren also survive. Besides his wife & parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Sister - Alma Henschen (& husband Norman Henschen), 1 Sister-In-Law - Gloria Henschen, 1 Brother - Martin Sievers (& wife Colleen Sievers).
Private Graveside services will be held Friday, March 20, 2020 at Spangle Cemetery near Livingston, Illinois with Rev. Jeremy Wood officiating.
