Brigitte I. (Matzat) Blotevogel

Brigitte I. Blotevogel, 88, of Worden, IL - formerly of Staunton, IL, passed away at 5:55 AM on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra, IL.  She was born May 15, 1936 in Germany, the daughter of the late Georg & Hedwig (Szeschniok) Matzat.  She was married to Charles Norman & he passed away on June 16, 2014.  She then married Vernon Blotevogel & he passed away on September 5, 2023.

Brigitte was employed as an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) at Community Memorial Hospital in Staunton, IL.  Her hobbies included sewing, glassworks, & cooking.

She is survived by three daughters -  Sonja (Michael) Stith of Oakland, AR,  Jane Morgan of Anacortes, WA,  &  Karen (Stephen) Hagan of Staunton, IL;  one step son -  Tom (Sondra) Blotevogel of Worden, IL;  thirteen grandchildren;  twelve great grandchildren;  one great great grandchild;  & numerous nieces & nephews also survive.  Besides her husbands & parents, she was preceded in death by a step daughter -  Patrice Myers.

No visitation or services are scheduled.  Memorials are suggested to Adopt-A-Pet of Benld, IL.
