Bettye J. Dragovich, 86 of Staunton, Illinois died Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Born May 16, 1933 in Williamson, Illinois she was a daughter to the Late Mr. & Mrs. Felix and Pearl (Rodeghiero) Robeza. She married William Marko Dragovich on November 5, 1955 in Spring Valley, Illinois and he died on February 27, 2008. Bettye was a homemaker. Bettye was baptized and confirmed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Livingston. She graduated from Livingston High School in 1950. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan and enjoyed working at the VFW fish fry’s. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Staunton and the Staunton VFW Post #1241 Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by 2 Daughters, Michele (John) Ulrich of Edwardsville, IL and Tami (Don) Willhoit of Staunton, IL; 7 Grandchildren, Chrystie Sargent, Mystie Chamberlin, Jessica Markle, Amye Warner, Justin Ulrich, Matt Willhoit, and Erin Montgomery; 8 Great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a Daughter, Debra Howard; 1 Brother, Joseph Robeza; and 1 Sister, Shirley Boston.
Friends may call from 10 AM until 12:00 noon on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon at Williamson Funeral Home with Father George Radosevich officiating. There will be no burial, remains will be cremated following services. Memorials are suggested to Staunton VFW Post # 1241 or to St. Michael’s Catholic Church Restoration Fund. Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton is in charge of arrangements.
