Betty Jo (Brunnworth) Oltmann

Betty Jo Oltmann, 70, of Worden, Illinois, passed away at 9:08 PM on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.  She was born June 15, 1952 in Litchfield, Illinois, the daughter of the late Harold W. & Doris (Rosenthal) Brunnworth.  She married John Oltmann on December 4, 1976 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hamel, Illinois, & he survives.

Betty worked as a secretary for M.B. Corlew Surveying (now Crawford, Murphy, & Tilley Surveying) in Edwardsville, Illinois for over 20 years.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Edwardsville, IL, was an avid baseball fan & she lived & breathed for her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband - John Oltmann of Worden, IL;  two daughters - Sara Oltmann of Collinsville, IL, & Carrie Oltmann of Worden, IL;  five grandchildren - Logan Jones, Luke Jones, Hunter Best, Ella Best, & Kensi Best;  one brother - Jim (Katie) Brunnworth of Hamel, IL;  one sister - Patty (Richard) Thomas of Staunton, IL;  & several nieces & nephews also survive.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Edwardsville, IL, & again from 9 to 10 AM on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Edwardsville, IL.  Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Edwardsville, IL with Rev. John Shank officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Hamel, Illinois.  

Memorials are suggested to either the American Heart Association, Trinity Lutheran Church of Edwardsville, or to Worden American Legion Post #564.
