Belva J. (Eatmon) Gwillim

Belva J. Gwillim, 86 of Worden, Illinois died Sunday, March 8, 2020 at her residence in Worden. Born June 7, 1933 in Fort Collins, CO, she was a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Erman & Irma (Kraig) Eatmon. She married Leo C. Backs Sr on January 6, 1950 and he died May 16, 1995. She worked as a CNA at Blue Fountain Manor in Godfrey, IL for many years. Belva was a wonderful caregiver and loved all her patients. She was a member of Worden Christian Church in Worden, IL.

She is survived by a son, Leo C. (Darlene) Backs Jr., a daughter, Rhonda L. (Dennis) Poehler, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Mae, Ethel, and Carolee, 2 brothers, Edward Marvin, and Robert.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 10:30 AM at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Carpenter, IL with Pastor Nathan Martin officiating. Memorials are suggested to Worden Christian Church.
