Annie L. Kirkwood

Annie L. Kirkwood, 73, of Staunton, IL, passed away at 1:11 PM on Friday, October 11, 2024 at her residence in Staunton, IL.  She was born June 2, 1951 in Litchfield, IL, the daughter of the late Charles David & Dorothy (Fensterman) Kirkwood.

Annie was employed at Olin Corporation in East Alton, IL for many years.  She was an avid reader, & enjoyed doing puzzles, flowers & gardening, arts & crafts, & baking for the holidays.  She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two childfren -  Garrett Schlechte of Kentucky,  &  Sabrina (Jeffrey) Linenfelser of Staunton, IL;  six grandchildren -  Cody Schlechte  &  Kevin Schlechte, both of Florida,  Madison Schlechte  &  Ember Schlechte, both of Kentucky,  &  Sarah Linenfelser  &  Jackson Linenfelser, both of Staunton, IL;  one brother -  Charles David (Mary) Kirkwood of Staunton, IL;  & numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, & cousins also survive.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son -  Eric Burdett;  one brother -  Richard Kirkwood;  one sister -  Kathryn Kirkwood;  & many aunts & uncles.

Friends may call from 11 AM to 12 noon on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Alhambra, IL.  Memorial services will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Alhambra, IL, with Pastor Mark Gause officiating.  Private burial will be held at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, IL.
