Alice K. (Fritz) Braden

Alice K. Braden, 93, of Staunton, IL - formerly of Worden, IL, passed away at 8:04 AM on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Community Hospital of Staunton, IL.  She was born September 25, 1931 in Alton, IL, the daughter of the late August & Sadie (Perkinson) Fritz.  She married Jack Braden Sr. on May 15, 1954 in Alton, IL & he passed away on November 27, 2006.

Alice was a homemaker & a member of The Assembly Church of Staunton, IL.  She loved word search puzzles, tending to her plants & shrubbery, & cats.

She is survived by four children -  Robert Fritz of Alton, IL,  Jack (Stephanie) Braden Jr of Jerseyville, IL,  Alice (Bill) Hendrickson of Staunton, IL,  &  Art (Rhonda) Braden of Staunton, IL;  ten grandchildren;  fourteen great grandchildren;  one great great grandson;  one sister -  Stella Emmons of Godfrey, IL;  & several nieces, nephews, & cousins also survive.  Besides her husband & parents, she was preceded in death by one great grandchild;  five sisters -  Margie Young,  Alma Lou Miller,  Virginia Cline,  Millie Fritz,  &  Shirley Carter;  &  two brothers -  Marion Fritz  &  Virgil Fritz.  

Friends may call from 10 to 11 AM on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at The Assembly Church in Staunton, IL.  A "Celebration of Life" will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at The Assembly Church in Staunton, IL, with Pastor Art Braden officiating.  

Memorials are suggested to the family.
