Albert E. Kayser, 88 of Pocahontas, Illinois died on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Faith Countryside Homes in Highland, Illinois. Born March 11, 1931 in Worden, Illinois, he was a son of the Late Mr. & Mrs. Edward & Rose (Randle) Kayser. He married Rosalie Grange on July 10, 1954 and she died in 1985. He later married Lavon Pannier on December 22, 1996 and she survives. He worked in the BI-Products Division at Granite City Steel in Granite City, Illinois and was a self- employed farmer. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Greenville, IL; Lifetime member of the International Chemical Workers Union; was and an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.
He is survived by his wife, Lavon Kayser of Pocahontas, IL; 1 Son- Edward Paul (Carla) Kayser of Fort Worth, TX; 1 Daughter – Kelly A. (John) Wilhelm of Trenton, IL; 7 Grandchildren- Gabby Kayser, Paige Kayser, Matthew Wilhelm, Joshua Wilhelm, Samuel Wilhelm, Hannah Wilhelm, and Jacob Wilhelm, 4 Great Grandchildren, Abram Randle Wilhelm, Nora Wilhelm, Rowan Kayser Wilhelm, Marshall Wilhelm. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Besides his first wife Rosalie Kayser and parents, he was preceded in death by 5 Siblings – Irene Jackson, Nora Morton, Florence Scherff, Robert Kayser, and Ester Garde.
A Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2020 from 9 to 11 AM at the Highland Southern Baptist Church in Highland, Illinois. A Funeral Service will follow at 11 AM with Rev. Billy Blackman officiating. Interment will be held at Fredrick Meyer Cemetery near Worden, Illinois. Memorials are suggested to Highland Southern Baptist Church, Frederick Meyer Cemetery, or the American Diabetes Association.
