Alan L. Bohlen

Alan L. Bohlen, 59, of Staunton, IL, passed away at 9:42 PM on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at his residence with his family by his side.  He was born August 31, 1965 in Staunton, IL, the son of the late Harry F. & Elizabeth (Blume) Bohlen.  He married Deborah Patrick in 1988 in Staunton, IL & she survives.

Alan was employed as an Assistant Manager for Shop-N-Save in Edwardsville, IL for many years & later worked at Schnuck's in Edwardsville, IL.  He was also a Veteran of the Army National Guard, & enjoyed hunting & fishing, outdoor vacations, traveling, & being "Paw-Paw".

He is survived by his wife -  Deborah Bohlen of Staunton, IL;  three children -  Brianna Bohlen of Staunton, IL,  Ciara (Liam) Lutz-Dreyer of Richmond Heights, MO,  &  Joshua Bohlen of Staunton, IL;  two grandchildren -  Dominic Kelly  &  Wesley Lutz-Dreyer;  three sisters -  Georgianna Lorenz of Mt. Olive, IL,  Shirley Bohm of Loganville, GA,  &  Linda (William) Clark of Onalaska, WA;  one brother -  Eric (Becky) Bohlen of Staunton, IL;  numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins also survive.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother -  Larry Lovejoy.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 PM on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL.  Funeral services will be held at 6 PM on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL, with Pastor Art Braden officiating.  The Staunton Military Honor Guard will conduct military rites at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to either the Ronald McDonald House of St. Louis, MO,  the Make-A-Wish Foundation, or to the family.
