Wayne A. Pike

Wayne A. Pike, 80, of Staunton, Illinois - formerly of Worden, Illinois, passed away at 12:30 AM on Monday, July 9, 2018 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.  He was born on September 2, 1937 in Madison County, Illinois, the son of the late Ralph & Elizabeth (Best) Pike.  He was married to Eva Steinhuer on November 26, 1988 at the Worden Christian Church in Worden, Illinois & she survives.  Wayhe was employed as a truck driver at Amoco Oil in Wood River, Illinois for many years & was a member of Teamsters Local #525 of Alton, Illinois.  He was also baptized & a member of the Worden Christian Church in Worden, Illinois, & enjoyed trail-riding & being with his horses & mules.  Wayne also enjoyed hunting & fishing.  

Besides his wife, he is survived by 8 children - Bob Pike of Mt. Olive, IL; Steve Pike of Litchfield, IL; Jamie Pike of Staunton, IL; William (Patty) Miller of Staunton, IL; Eric (LeAnn) Miller of Walshville, IL; Cindy (Tom) of Raymond, IL; Annette Thickpin (companion Wayne); & Patricia Martino of Staunton, IL;  12 grandchildren;  many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, & cousins.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 sisters - Bonnie, Ruth, Thelma, Virginia, & Judy; & 2 brothers - Dale & Rich Pike.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 10:00 AM  at Worden Christian Church in Worden, Illinois officiated by Rev. Nathan Martin. Graveside services will follow at Worden City Cemetery in Worden, Illinois.  Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society and Worden Christian Church.
