Violet Shidler Obituary

Violet E. Shidler, 90, of Staunton, Illinois, passed away at 7:14 AM on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois. She was born on May 26, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late Peter & Gilda (Slaviero) Nicolussi. She was employed as an Executive Secretary at First National Bank in Staunton for over 40 years, retiring in 1993. violet was an avid card player, & enjoyed traveling & watching cooking shows on the Food Channel. She also enjoyed sewing & was a wonderful seamstress, making many of her own Clothes, & was an artist - creating many beautiful landscapes & still-lifes. She is survived by a daughter, Gloria Shidler, of Grafton, Illinois.

Private graveside memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Adopt-A-Pet.
