Stephen J. Davis Jr.

Stephen J. Davis Jr., 37 of Carpenter, IL died Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL. Born May 8, 1980 in Maryville, Illinois, he was a son of Mary Jane Davis & the late Stephen J. Davis Sr. He graduated from Staunton High School with the class of 1998. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. Steve was well liked and loved by all.

He is survived by a son, Stephen J. Davis III; fiancé, Lauri Higdon of Carpenter, IL; mother, Mary Jane Davis of Worden, IL; 2 sisters, Andrea R. (Shawn) Wittmer of Evansville, IN and Katie J. (Zachary) Carrier of Chicago, IL; 1 brother, Samuel H. Davis of Worden, IL. Several nieces and nephews also survive.  

Visitation will be held Monday, March 5, 2018 from 5 to 7 PM at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. A Memorial service will follow at 7 PM with Rev. Heath Curtis officiating. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
