Roger Ray Friend

Roger Ray Friend, 63, of Wilsonville, IL died on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Community Hospital in Staunton, IL. Born November 6, 1955 in Staunton, he was a son of Mrs. Etta Masinelli and the late Junior Raymond Friend. He married Sheila Buehler on August 18, 2001 and she survives. He worked as a mechanic and played in many local bands. Roger was a loving Grandfather, Son, Dad, and Husband. He loved his family and friends, playing music, and had a contagious smile.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Friend of Wilsonville, IL; 1 daughter, Stacy (Clay) Schuette of Benld, IL; mother, Etta Masinelli of Staunton, IL; 2 step children, Jodie (Jerry) Reid of Wilsonville, IL and Clinton Haas of Staunton, IL; 6 grandchildren, Zachary, Alyssa, & Jacob Schuette; Ryan, Samuel, & Joseph Reid; 1 sister, Debbie (Jeff) Watson of Pekin, IL.

Friends may call from 11 AM to 2 PM on Monday, October 14, 2019 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton with Pastor Christina Erdmann officiating. Remains will be cremated following services. Memorials are suggested to the family.
