Ricki Lee Butcher, 61, of Worden, Illinois passed away Monday, October 9, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Clayton, Missouri. Born September 14, 1956 in East St. Louis, Illinois, he was a son of Sarah Lee (Strader) Butcher Vetter and the late Mr. Everett Edward Butcher. He married Jo Ann Compton on June 18, 1983 in Staunton, Illinois and she survives. He worked as a pipefitter with Plumbers & Pipefitters Local #553 in Wood River, Illinois. Rick loved being with his family.   His favorite pastime was working or rebuilding motors on tractors and cars.  He enjoyed traveling to Florida & deep- sea fishing with the guys.  If there were oysters close by,that’s where you could find Rick, Sandy, &  Lenny.  He loved going up north to the “UP”.  The guys all helped to build a cabin that they all enjoyed staying at.  He took great pride in being a pipefitter & loved his job.

Cousins -Curt (Celeste) Strader – Maryville, Illinois 

Sandy (Lenny) Strader-Pisciotta – Grand Junction, Colorado 

 The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 PM on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Williamson Funeral Home in Worden, Illinois. Memorials are suggested to the Worden Fire Department.
