Patricia Spudich, 73, of Staunton, IL passed away Tuesday, July 2nd, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born October 11th, 1945, the daughter of William F. and Alvina M. (Faulstich) Ficker of Staunton. She graduated from Staunton High School, where she was homecoming queen, and went on to attend and graduate from SIU Edwardsville. She married Raymond “Joe” Spudich of Livingston on May 15th, 1970. She worked part-time in St. Louis for the Federal Government; at the Staunton Unit Schools as an Aide and later as an Assistant in the Library; and concluded her career in the purchasing unit at SIU, retiring in 2007. She was a member of Zion Lutheran church.
Pat loved doing crossword puzzles; watching The Wheel of Fortune; shopping (especially at Christmas!); and her ultimate joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Raymond and children: Nathan (Nancy) Spudich of Maryville; Adrienne (Andy) Johnson of Maryville; Tiffany Spudich of Staunton; grandchildren: Hayden and Hailey Spudich; Adelyn, Aubrey, Avery Johnson; and Rowan Spudich; sister Lavonne (Marlen); sister-in-law Joyce Ficker of Staunton; sister-in-law Catherine Spudich Wright of Staunton; sister-in-law Cecelia Lockhart of Denver; sister-in-law Laura Worms (Rick) of Kansas City, MO; and brother-in-law Eugene “Cheesy” Spudich (Marty) of Livingston; along with many nieces and nephews: Susan (David) Cisler - sons Andrew, Matthew and Joseph of Staunton; Carrie (Bruce) Hanley of Washington; Natasha (Tommy) Giovanoli – daughter Teagan of Denver; Melissa (Jeff) Harbour – son Cameron of Denver; Michael Worms of Kansas City; Cynthia (Jason) Huhsman - son Jacob and daughter Jaiden of Bethalto; Kevin (Paige ) Dustmann - daughter Emelia and twin sons Hudson and Wyatt of Texas; Richard (Andrea) Ficker – sons Dalton and Gavin and daughter Ashlyn of Kansas City, MO; Michael Ficker of Texas; and Jennifer Ficker (fiancée James Flaig). She was preceded in death by her parents; brother William Ficker; sister Joan (Robert Kapp) and brother Richard Ficker.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, July 6th at Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church. Burial will be held at Staunton City Cemetery.
