Patricia Lee (Blind) Reising

Patricia Lee Reising, 80 of Hamel, Illinois died Saturday, December 14, 2019 at her residence in Hamel. Born August 21, 1939 in Dyer, Tennessee, she was a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Walter Blind. She married Harlan Reising on September 20, 1960 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hamel, Illinois and he survives. She worked as a registered surgical nurse at St. Louis Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri for many years. Patricia was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Hamel where she served as the director of the Church Bell Choir for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Harlan Reising of Hamel, IL; 2 sons, Mike (Diane) Reising of Worden, IL and Ted (Tia) Reising of Edwardsville, IL; 4 grandchildren, Danielle Reising, Jake Reising, Kendall Reising, and Sage Reising; 1 brother, Bill Blind. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sons, Kirk & Chuck Reising; and 1 brother, Roger Blind.

Friends may call from 9 to 11:30 AM on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hamel, Illinois. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hamel with Rev. Benjamin Ball officiating. Remains will be cremated following services. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Hamel.
