Millard Curry Jr., 75 of Staunton, IL passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. Born September 13, 1943 in Alton, IL, he was a son of the Late Mr. & Mrs. Millard Curry Sr. He married Doris Roberts on December 15, 1962 in Livingston, IL and she survives. Millard Graduated from Staunton High School and later served in the U.S. Army from 1962 – 1968. He worked as a Fork Truck Driver at Olin Corporation in Alton, IL for many years. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Curry of Staunton, IL; 4 Children, Tammy (Jim) Pellegrino of Chandler, AZ; Dawn (Roger) Leetham of Staunton, IL; Michael Curry of Staunton, IL; and Kimberly (Brent) Redeker of Staunton, IL; 6 Grandchildren, Matthew Pellegrino, Shelby Pellegrino, Megan Leetham, Andrew Leetham, Emily Redeker & Payton Redeker; 3 Great Grandchildren, Gianna Furr, Bryson Leetham, and Isaac Pellegrino; 3 Siblings, Mary (Frank) Pulido of Godfrey, IL; Flora Allen of Sacramento, CA; and Wilmetta Cougill of Metropolis, IL. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 child in infancy and 2 Brothers – John Modrovsky and David Curry.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2019 from 9 to 11 AM at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at Williamson Funeral Home with Rev. Kelly Mitteis officiating. Burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton. The Staunton Military Honor Guard will conduct Military Graveside Rites. Memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project.
