Marvin L. Hillebrand, 84, of Bunker Hill, Illinois died Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Community Memorial Hospital in Staunton, Illinois. Born November 8, 1935 in Prairietown, Illinois, he was a son of the late Mr. & Mrs. William (Pearl) Hillebrand. He married Dorothy Kates on November 29, 1969 at Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton and she survives. He served in the National Guard and was a self-employed farmer. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Staunton.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Hillebrand of Bunker Hill, IL; 2 stepsons, Dennis (Janet) Crouch of Staunton, IL and Robert (Brenda) Crouch of Carlinville, IL; 3 grandchildren, Alyssa (Eric) Gibbel, Joshua (Jamie) Crouch, and Rachel (John) McMahon; 5 great grandchildren, Ryleigh & Andrew Gibbel, Livia & Wesley Crouch, and Eli McMahon; 1 sister, Iona Bertels; special cousin, Cheryl (Jim) Diller. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a great grandson, Thomas Gibbel.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 AM on Monday, December 16, 2019 at Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Kelly Mitteis officiating. Burial will be held at Prairietown Cemetery in Prairietown, Illinois. Memorials are suggested to Zion Lutheran Church, Zion Lutheran School, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
