Marie J. Eilert, 97 of Worden, IL passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Heritage Health in Staunton, IL. Born May 7, 1920 in rural Staunton, IL, she was a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Albert Heinemeier. She married Martin H. Eilert on February 2, 1941 in Columbia, Mo and he passed away on February 16, 1988. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Worden, IL and the Ladies Aid Society of the church as well. In addition, she was a member of the “What’s Trump” card club that met from 1947 thru 2004 (57 years). Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by 2 sons, Rev. Leland (Judith) Eilert of St. Clairsville, OH and Rodney (Carol) Eilert of Worden, IL; 5 grandchildren, Sharon (Paul) Sausville; Rev. Jonathon (Suzanne) Eilert; Christine Eilert; Valarie (Brian) Hulshof; and Emily (Christopher) Johnson; 12 great grandchildren, Samuel & Joseph Sausville; Margaret, Daniel, & Sophie Eilert; Henry, Heidi, Cora, & Nora Hulshof; and Luke, Micah, & Ian Johnson; 2 sisters, Norma Moore of Staunton, IL and Janet Schultz of Arizona. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Virginia Kienle & Doris Walker; and 2 brothers, Allen & William Heinemeier.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM on Wednesday at Williamson Funeral Home in Worden. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Worden with Rev. Heath Curtis officiating. Burial will be held at Spangle Cemetery near Livingston, IL. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church of Worden, IL.
