Leonilda J. "Babe" (Fortuna) Rodriguez

Leonilda J. “Babe” Rodriguez, 91 of Staunton, IL passed away on March 7, 2019. She was born on March 16, 1927 in Staunton, IL, daughter of the late Pietro Fortuna and the late Rica (Spenavello) Fortuna. She married Joe Rodriguez on March 2, 1963 in St. Louis, MO and he survives. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Staunton. She enjoyed music, dancing, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Babe loved traveling with her husband and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Rodriguez of Staunton, IL; 3 Daughters, Janet (Husband Jerry( Edwards; Patricia “Pat” (husband Ed) Wawrzyszuk; and Donna (Michael) Jamnik; 7 Grandchildren, Amanda Walstra, Jill Flores, Joseph Flores, Amber Austin, Jenna Flores, Nicholas Pokropinski, Alex Pokropinski; 3 Great grandchildren, Aliyah Gallo, Angelo Gallo, and Jaelynn Austin & Gwen Austin, all of Northern Indiana.

Friends may call from9 to 10 AM on Friday, April 5, 2019 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Staunton. A Memorial Mass will follow at 10 AM at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Staunton with Father George Radosevich officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
