Kay Kilduff ,76, Staunton, IL passed away at Heritage Manor in Litchfield, IL on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 @ 8:10 PM. Born October 22, 1942 in Prairietown, IL, she was a daughter of the Late Wilbur “Bud” Bird and the Late Alberta “Bertie” (Johnson) Schnur. She married Robert J. “Bob” Kilduff on July 2, 1960 in Staunton and died in 2001. Leona worked as a Police Dispatcher for the Staunton Police Department. She was the Owner/Operator of Mode O’Day Dress Shop in Staunton and later started Kay’s Ladies Apparel in Staunton. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Staunton. Leona was an active volunteer for the Staunton Little League and Cubs Scout. In addition, she was the Sunday School Teacher at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Staunton.
She is survived by 2 Sons, James (Dana) Kilduff of Staunton, IL & Jeff (Karen) Kilduff of Greensboro, NC; 5 Grandchildren, Kristen, Cooper, Emily, Walker, and Nathan. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 10 AM at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton with Father Larry Anschutz officiating. Burial will follow at Prairietown Lutheran Cemetery in Prairietown. Memorials are suggested to the Staunton Police Department.
