JoAnne H. Streeb, 87 of Mt. Clare, IL passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Heritage Health in Gillespie, IL. Born May 11, 1930 in Springfield, Il, she was a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Harvey Horne. She married Louis L. Streeb on July 24, 1948 and he passed away on November 11, 1992. She was an owner/operator of local taverns/restaurants in Staunton for many years. She was an avid reader who loved gardening, playing cards and scrabble, and enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by 2 sons, Mike (Michelle) Streeb of Troy, IL; Kevin Streeb (companion Brenda Mansholt) of Mt. Olive, IL; 1 daughter, Terri Streeb of Mt. Clare, IL; 14 grandchildren, Dennis (Sonja) Streeb Jr of Highland, IL; Jason (Allison) Streeb of Lake Oswego, OR; Michelle Masher of Marion, IL; Jeremy Streeb (Kerri Locke) of Pascagoula, MS; Rachel Streeb of Springfield, IL; Ryan (Rebakah) Streeb of Litchfield, IL; Jessica (Cale) Henke of Edwardsville, IL; Nick Streeb of Staunton, IL; Stewart (Kacy) Heim of Collinsville, IL; Ian Bramley of St. Louis, IL; Eric Streeb of Staunton, IL; Sydney Streeb of Troy, IL; Blake Streeb of White City, IL; and Patrick Bowden of Kenner, LA; 9 great grandchildren, Katlin (Brittany) Streeb; Kaleb (Ali) Streeb; Kyron Streeb; Haley Loetz; Noah Masher; Philip Streeb; Brooklyn Streeb; Bailee Streeb; and Dylan Henke; 5 great great grandchildren, Madelyn, Kayden, Brentley, Mariah, and Daisy; 2 brothers, Jim (Myrna) Horne of Denver, CO & Jerry (Carol) Horne of Union, IL; 3 sisters-in-law, Linda Bianco of Staunton, IL; Mary Kay May of St. Louis, MO; and Joni Potter of California. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sons, Barry and Dennis Streeb; 1 daughter, Pamela Bowden; 1 grandson, Jacob Streeb; and 1 brother, Don Horne.

Remains were cremated. Services to be held later. Memorials are suggested to the Benld Library.
