James David Gasper

James David Gasper, 51 of Kirksville, Illinois (formerly of Staunton, IL) passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at his residence. Born October 1, 1966 in Staunton, IL, he was the son of Judy (Groetka) Gasper and the late Jim Gasper. He married Sarah Christman and she survives. He worked as the Principal Recruiter Specialist for Alexander Mann Solutions. He graduated from SIU-Edwardsville and loved working in his shop “Twisted Metalz” and powder coating in his spare time.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Gasper of Kirksville, MO; Mother, Judy Gasper of Bethalto, IL; 2 Sisters, Robin (Jeff) Booth of Staunton, IL & Wendy Stahl (fiance Doug Yarnik) of Staunton, IL; Aunt Evelyn Gasper of Edwardsville, IL; 2 Nephews, Scott (Mary) Billings of Staunton, IL & Dustin (Katie) Billings of Livingston, IL; 3 Nieces, Sam Stahl (partner Ian) of Chicago, IL; Hallie Stahl (fiance Mark) of Chicago, IL; and Courtney (Josh) Haynes of Staunton, IL; 3 Great Nieces, Savannah Billings, Grace Billings, and Olivia Haynes; 3 Great Nephews, Drake Billings, Deacon Billings, and Jackson Haynes. He was preceded in death by his Father, Jim Gasper.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM on Monday at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. Burial will be held at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Edwardsville, IL.
