George H. Wisnasky, 71 of Staunton, IL passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Community Memorial Hospital in Staunton, IL. Born September 16, 1945 in Highland, IL, he was a son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Joseph M. Wisnasky. He married Cynthia Noll on June 25, 1966 in Benld, IL and she survives. He worked as a Laborer with Bland Construction Company in Cottage Hills, IL for many years. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was a member St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Staunton, IL; Staunton VFW Post #1241, and the Staunton Knights of Columbus #2197.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Wisnasky of Staunton, IL; 1 son, George (Erika) Wisnasky of Staunton, IL; 2 grandsons, Zach Wisnasky of Mt. Olive, IL and Lucas Wisnasky of Staunton, IL; 1 future great grandson; 1 sister, Sylvia Pendegraft of Summerfield, IL; 4 brothers, Willie, Donald, Charlie, and Jim Wisnasky; 3 sisters-in-law, Theresa Kipp of Mt. Olive, IL; Debby Main of Midway, GA; and Donna Wesbrook of Bunker Hill, IL. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

Friends may call from 10:00 AM to 11:45 on Tuesday at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton.  Funeral services will follow at 12 noon at St. Michaels’s Catholic Church with Rev. George Radosevich officiating. Burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton. Memorials are suggested to St. Michael’s Restoration Fund.
