Clifford Charles Partridge

Clifford Charles Partridge, 92 of Staunton, Illinois died Thursday, October 31, 2019 at his residence in Staunton. Born October 7, 1927 in Bunker Hill, Illinois, he was a son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Clifford Partridge. He married Maudie Marie Sawyer on August 14, 1948 in Staunton and she survives. Charlie worked at Beall Tool & Die in East Alton, Illinois for 28 years. In addition, he was the Dorchester Township Road Commissioner for 12 years and farmed his whole life. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Charlie was a member of Dorchester United Methodist Church in Dorchester. His true loves were his family and farming.

He is survived by his wife, Maudie Partridge of Staunton, IL; 2 Sons, Art (Jane) Partridge of Staunton, IL & Randy (Pam) Partridge of Sawyerville, IL; 1 Daughter, Marilyn (husband Ray, deceased) Rushton of Staunton, IL; 3 Granddaughters, Christie (C.W.) Lorsbach, Jamie (Jimmie) Franklin, and Janna Streif; 6 Grandsons, Cliff (Yvonne) Rushton, Art (Sandra) Partridge, Rusty (Jennifer) Rushton, Ben Partridge, Brian (Ashley) Partridge, and Jeremy Streif; 14 Great Grandchildren; 1 Sister, Maxine Willhoit of Staunton, IL and 1 Brother, Fred Partridge of Staunton, IL. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Sister, Frances Turcol.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM on Monday, November 4, 2019 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton with Pastor Toby Kurtright officiating. Interment will be held at Tine Sawyer Cemetery, west of Staunton. The Staunton Military Honor Guard will conduct graveside rites. Memorials are suggested to either Tine Sawyer Cemetery or Dorchester United Methodist Church.
