Charles Dean Michuda, 64 of Staunton, IL passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Community Memorial Hospital in Staunton. Born August 5, 1953 in Staunton, IL, he was a son of Junedean Smith and the late Charles C. Michuda. He married Clarette Tooley on August 2, 1975 in Staunton, IL and she survives. He worked as a machine operator for Union Pacific Railroad in St. Louis, MO for 40 years and served as a Union Representative. Charlie loved gardening, hunting and fishing, and taking care of his family.
He is survived by his wife, Clarette Michuda of Staunton, IL; 3 daughters, Alena (Jason) Vlcek of Springfield, IL; Clarissa (Robert) Jones of Worden, IL; and Crystal (Cedric) Chandler of San Diego, CA; 1 son, Charles Jason Michuda of Staunton, IL; 3 grandchildren, Alison Jones, Haden Vlcek, and Aralynn Chandler; 1 brother, Dale (Gail) Michuda of Kentucky. Beside his father, he was preceded in death by his Uncle Frank Michuda.
A “Celebration of Life” was held on Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 12:30 to 3:30 PM at Concordia Hall in Staunton. Memorials are suggested to Ducks Unlimited.
