Charles W. McCoy Jr., 77 of Staunton, Illinois died Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Heritage Health in Staunton. Born August 5, 1942 in Boonville, Indiana, he was a son of the Late Mr. & Mrs. Charles W. McCoy Sr. He worked as a Welder Repair Man for Chrysler Cooperation in Fenton, Missouri for over 30 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era. He was a member of the First United Baptist Church of Staunton; a Life member of the VFW & American Legion; lifetime member of the NRA; a strong UAW member; and was a huge Chicago Cubs fan.
He is survived by 1 Son & Daughter-in-law - Craig & Cindy McCoy of Staunton, Illinois; 2 Grandchildren - Travis McCoy of Staunton, Illinois and Angela (Zachary) Page of Hillsboro, Illinois; 1 Great Grandson - Roy Page of Hillsboro, Illinois; 2 Sisters - Darlene Chumbley of Missouri and Caroline (George) Finn of Pacific, Missouri. Numerous Nieces & Nephews also survive.
Friends may call from 10 AM to 12 noon on Monday, December 23, 2019 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. Funeral services will follow at 12 noon at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton with Pastor Doris Ely officiating. Burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, Illinois. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The Staunton Military Honor Guard will conduct graveside rites.
