Agnes A. Pingolt, 90 of Staunton passed away Friday, June 29, 2018 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois. Born July 1, 1927 in Murphysboro, Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Ernest & Pearline (Cagle) Imhoff. She married Arthur “Buster” Pingolt on June 7, 1947 in Staunton and he passed away on April 20, 2016. Agnes was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Staunton, Legion of Mary, Women’s Catholic Council, and Meals on Wheels.
Agnes is survived by 2 daughters, Sally (Dennis) Fritzsche and Sheila (Dave) Peters; 3 sons, Andrew (Nina) Pingolt, Eric (Lisa) Pingolt, and Arthur (Jennifer) Pingolt; 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 sister-in-law, Pat Vesper, 2 brothers, Edgar & Mike Imhoff. Many nieces, nephews, and countless friends survive. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sons, John & Joseph Pingolt; 1 daughter, Mary Yost; 1 brother, Charles Imhoff; and 2 grandsons, Adam James and Andrew Best.
A private funeral service will be held Monday, July 2, 2018 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton with Father George Radosevich officiating. Burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton. Memorials are suggested to charity of the donor’s choice.
