Rose Marie (Spudich) Banjavcic

Rose Marie (Spudich) Banjavcic, 94, of Staunton, IL - formerly of Livingston, IL, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Staunton Health & Rehab Center in Staunton, IL.  She was born June 11, 1929 in Livingston, IL, the daughter of the late Stephen & Anna (Kostadin) Spudich Sr.  She married John "Sheepy" Banjavcic on September 1, 1951 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Livingston, IL & he passed away on May 6, 2017.

Rose worked at Cassens Transport,  Olin Corporation,  & then as a bookkeeper for Calcari Distributing & Beierman Distributing until her retirement.  She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church of Staunton,  the Croatian Fraternal Lodge,  & Staunton VFW Ladies Auxiliary.  

She is survived by numerous nieces & nephews.  Besides her husband & parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters -  Barbara Spudich,  Dorothy Schank,  Ann Inboden,  Caroline Vertovsek,  &  Mary Spudich;  & two brothers -  Stephen Spudich Jr.  &  Thomas Spudich Sr.

Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:45 AM on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Lesicko Funeral Home in Livingston, IL.  Funeral services will be held at 10:45 on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Lesicko Funeral Home in Livingston, IL, with Rev. Thomas Hagstrom officiating.  Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Livingston, IL.

Memorials are suggested to either Sacred Heart Cemetery in Livingston,  St. Michael Catholic Church in Staunton, or to Staunton VFW Post #1241.
