LaVonne S. Dustmann, 85, of Staunton, IL, passed away at 9:21 AM on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Community Hospital of Staunton, IL. She was born August 8, 1938 in Staunton, IL, the daughter of the late William F. & Alvina M. (Faulstich) Ficker. She married Marlen L. Dustmann on July 9, 1966 at Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton, IL by Pastor Meyer & he survives.

After graduating from Staunton High School, she worked for the U.S. Government as a payroll clerk for several years, then gave up her career to raise her family.....LaVonne's pride & joy was her family! She attended as many games, concerts, & anything that pertained to her grandchildren as often as she could. She also enjoyed wineries, going out to eat, & doing jigsaw & search-a-word puzzles. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Staunton, IL.

She is survived by her husband - Marlen Dustmann of Staunton, IL; three children - Susan (David) Cisler of Staunton, IL, Cynthia (Jason) Huhsman of Bethalto, IL, & Kevin (Paige) Dustmann of Spring, TX; eight grandchildren - Andrew, Matthew, & Joseph Cisler, Jacob & Jaiden Huhsman, & Emelia, Hudson, & Wyatt Dustmann; two sisters-in-law - Joyce Ficker of Staunton, IL, & Myra Daugherty of Staunton, IL; one brother-in-law - Raymond "Joe" Spudich of Staunton, IL; & several nieces & nephews also survive. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers - William Ficker & Richard Ficker; two sisters - Joan Kapp & Patricia Spudich; & a brother-in-law - Robert Kapp.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM on Thursday, March 21, 2024 & again from 9 to 10 AM on Friday, March 22, 2024, both at Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton, IL. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton, IL, with Rev. Phil Girardin officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, IL.

Memorials are suggested to either Zion Lutheran Church or School, the Staunton School Bands, or to the Staunton Municipal Band.
