William L. White, 86 of Worden, Illinois passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, IL. Born February 25, 1930 in Guthrie Center, Iowa, he was the son of Mabelle White. He married Jean K. Eckhardt on June 27, 1964 at First Assembly of God Church in Staunton, and she passed away on January 21, 2008. He worked as a Mechanical Carman at Union Pacific Railroad in Dupo, IL. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the River of Life Assembly Church in Worden, Illinois, also serving on the Board of Trustees. William enjoyed playing his guitar and fishing.

He is survived by 3 Daughters, Gay Lynn (Glynn) Dickens of North Carolina; Marilyn (Carl) Church of Wood River, IL; and Jolene (Mark) Robbs of Worden, IL; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 1 Sister, Bessie Featherling of San Antonio, TX. 2 nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.

Friends may call from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the River of Life Assembly Church in Worden, IL. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM at the River of Life Assembly Church in Worden with Rev. Dee Lynn officiating. Burial will be held at Worden City Cemetery in Worden, IL. Military graveside rites will be observed at Worden City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the River of Life Assembly Church in Worden.
