Wanda Brenzel, 89 of Staunton, Illinois passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Heritage Health in Staunton, Illinois. Born October 2, 1927 in Thomasville, Tennessee, she was a daughter of the Late Mr. & Mrs. Boyd Wilson. She married Fred “Coach” Brenzel on December 22, 1947 in Clarksville, Tennessee and he passed away on November 14, 2001. She worked as the Grade School Secretary at Staunton Unit Schools for 23 years, retiring in 1990. She was a member of St. Michaels’ Catholic Church of Staunton.

She is survived by 3 Daughters, Janet (Kirk) Kramer of Staunton, IL; Sue McBride of Staunton, IL; and Sherry (Mike) Pirok of Staunton, IL; 1 Son, Fred (Lisa) Brenzel of Staunton, IL; 8 Grandchildren, Mark (Carol) Kramer, Kristie (Art) Billings, Shawn McBride, Michael Pirok, Mark Pirok, Kyle Pirok, Curt Brenzel, and Abby (Darren) Clark; 5 Great Grandchildren, Max Kramer, Austin Billings, Ryan Billings, Marcie Billings, and Brooklyn Clark; 1 Great Great Grandchild, Addison Billings. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 7 siblings.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM on Wednesday at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 10 AM at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Staunton with Rev. George Radosevich officiating. Burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton. Memorials are suggested to either St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Staunton, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
