VICTOR LESEMANN

PRAIRIETOWN — Victor Lesemann, 84, of Prairietown, Illinois, died at 6:35 p.m. Monday, August 8, 2016 at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon, Illinois.

He was born January 20, 1932, in Madison County, Illinois, son of the late Herbert Lesemann Sr. and Elsie Sauerwein.

He married Audrey F. Rust on July 16, 1955, in Bunker Hill, Illinois, and she passed away on September 13, 2008.

Vic was a self-employed farmer and also an electrician at Laclede Steel in Alton, Illinois.

He served in the U.S. Army as an MP from 1953-1954. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Prairietown. He also played dirtball in the Lutheran Church Dartball League.

Survivors include two sons, Brian (Beth) Lesemann of Bath, Illinois, Bruce (Amy) Lesemann of Storm Lake, Iowa; five grandchildren, Jessica (Adam) Hughes, Seth Lesemann, Breahna Lesemann, Abigail Lesemann and Gabriel Lesemann;

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Marla Lesemann, one brother, Herbert Lesemann Jr., and two infant children.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2016 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Prairietown, Illinois.

The Rev. Dale Skeesick will officiate. Interment will be at Prairietown Cemetery.

Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Friday, August 12 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Prairietown. Memorials are suggested to either St. Peter's Lutheran Church or School.

Williamson Funeral Home, Staunton, is in charge of arrangements.
