Timothy Wayne Sawyer, 61 of Worden, Illinois passed away at his residence in Worden on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. Born April 24, 1956 in Peoria, Illinois, he was a son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Jerry W. & Joyce Kay (Defibaugh) Sawyer. He married Karen L. Barlow on August 30, 1980 in Peoria, IL and she survives. He worked as an Electrical/Mechanical Technician for the City of Northglenn, CO for over 30 years, retiring in September of 2015. Tim loved fishing and spending time at the cabin, biking, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Karen L. Sawyer of Worden, IL; 2 daughters, Sydney (Louis) Tardona of Pagosa Springs, Co and Samantha (Brandon) Brezall of Denver, CO; 1 son, William (Nicole) Sawyer of Denver, CO; 3 grandchildren, Anthony Sawyer, Damian Sawyer, and Riley Brezall; 1 sister, Jeri Sawyer of Glen Carbon, IL; 3 brothers, Kelly (Betsy) Sawyer of Edwardsville, IL; Ed (Joan) Sawyer of Peoria, IL; and Scott (Pam) Sawyer of Glen Carbon, IL. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

A” Celebration of Life” will be held Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 1 to 6 PM at the home of his sister, Jeri Sawyer, 4 Dogwood Estates, Glen Carbon, IL 62034. Memorials are suggested to either the ALS Foundation or to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
