Susan Inez Hettinger, 73 of Livingston, Illinois passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra, Illinois. Born August 1, 1944 in Livingston, Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. John Perry. She married Ronald Dale Hettinger Sr. on December 5, 1963 and he passed away on February 4, 2001. She served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Maryville, Illinois. She enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Sue was a homemaker, and she loved gardening and shopping.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Kathy (David) Hall of Minnesota; Jamie (James) Herendeen of Livingston, IL; and Shirley Augustine; 2 sons, Ronald Dale Hettinger Jr of Minnesota; and John (Karla) Hettinger of Florida; 6 grandchildren, Cole (Nida), Matthew, Macy, Cassie, Conner, and Faith; 3 great grandchildren, Jace, Jolee, and Elias; 1 sister, Shirley O’Kane of Livingston, IL. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister.

Friends may call from 11 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Maryville, Illinois. A Memorial Service will follow at 1 PM at First Baptist Church in Maryville, Illinois. Memorials are suggested to either Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra or to First Baptist Church of Maryville, Illinois.
