Ronald A. Woosley, 56, of Staunton, Illinois died at his residence near Staunton on Sunday, February 4, 2018. He was born January 30, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Mr. & Mrs. Joe Menke and the late Ronald E. Woosley. He married Cindy Tiek, and they later divorced. Ron has spent the past 23 years sharing a life with Penny Pulley and she survives. He worked as a laborer for Menke Concrete in Staunton. Ron loved to tinker with engines, big or small. He was a jack-of-all-trades and loved fishing and being outdoors. He was a friend to everyone and his cup was always “half-full.”
He is survived by Penny Pulley of Staunton, IL; 5 daughters, Rachel Woosley Hopper (Gregg Maddalon); Ashley (Jesse) Eaton; Jessica Rabich; and Christy (Emily) Ferguson; and Kassia (Amanda) Wright; 9 grandchildren, Austin, Cory, Casey, Lina, Cameron, Alexis, Annika, Erik, and Edan; 3 sisters, Tammy McBride, Alesia (Adam) Crone, Tonya (Rick) Pieper; half-brother, Randy; half-sister, Rhonda; best friend & partner in crime, Roger (Sylvia) Selander. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Joe & Portia Menke; birth father, Ronald E. Woosley; brother-in-law, Tim McBride; and half-brother, Michael.
A” Celebration of Life” will be held later. Memorials are suggested to the Local Chapter of the Boy Scouts of America or to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
