Richard Anthony LaRosa, 59 of Staunton, Illinois passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. Born May 21, 1957 in Litchfield, IL, he was a son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Savio LaRosa. Rick was employed as a machine operator at Georgia Pacific in Mt. Olive, IL. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Staunton, IL.

He is survived by a son, Bob (wife Kelly) LaRosa of St. Peter’s, MO; a daughter, Dana (husband Joey) Matesa of Staunton, IL; 3 grandchildren, Anthony & Emma LaRosa and Olivia Matesa; 1 sister, Tina (husband Jim) Rucker of Staunton, IL; 1 brother, Lino (wife Cindy) LaRosa of Staunton, IL. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Staunton with Rev. George Radosevich officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Gift of Hope, Community Memorial Hospital, HIS Service Station, or to the National Institutes of Mental Health.
