Mary Agnes (Pingolt) Yost, 64, of Mt. Olive, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018. Born in Big Springs, Texas, she was the daughter of Agnes Pingolt (Imhoff) and the late Arthur “Buster” Pingolt. She graduated from Staunton High School in 1971, and was married to Mike Yost, who predeceased her. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She had a passion for rescue animals and provided a home for countless numbers.
She is survived by her two sons, Chris (Mary) Best of Jacksonville, Florida; and Jason (Brandie) Best of Midlothian, Texas; her grandchildren Andrew, Kailie, Emma, Noah, and Ali; her siblings Andrew (Nina) Pingolt of Staunton, Sally (Dennis) Fritzsche of Somonauk, Eric (Lisa) Pingolt of Carlinville, Sheila (Dave) Peters of Holiday Shores, and Arthur (Jennifer) Pingolt of South Carolina; and her stepdaughters Amy Yost and Christine Yost. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. In addition to her father and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Andrew Best, her brothers John Pingolt and Joe Pingolt, and her nephew Adam James.
