Marjorie Louise Rothe, 83 of Staunton, Illinois passed away at her residence in Staunton on Sunday, September 3, 2017. Born September 27, 1933 in Marion, Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Guy L. Groves. She married Jake T. Rothe on February 23, 1957 in Benton, Illinois and he survives. She was a homemaker and a member of Cross Church of Staunton, Illinois.

She is survived by her husband, Jake T. Rothe of Staunton, IL; 3 sons, Timothy S. Rothe of Staunton, IL; Thomas J. (Susan) Rothe Sr. of Madison, IL; and David T. Rothe of Staunton, IL; 2 grandchildren, Thomas Rothe Jr. and Ryan Rothe; 2 sisters, Shirley Pearson of Joliet, IL and Janie Owens of Johnson City, IL. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 son, Jeffrey S. Rothe and 1 sister, Betty Machura.

No services are scheduled. Her remains were cremated. Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army.
