Marie Claire Hudson, 62 of Staunton, Illinois passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. Born December 19, 1955 in Syracuse, New York she was a daughter of Mr. Arnold Max Fuson and Mary Grace (Chatterton) Fuson. She married Jeffrey A. Hudson on December 27, 1986 and he passed away on September 22, 2003. She worked as an Elementary School Teacher for many years. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Staunton, Illinois. Marie was a very giving person.

She is survived by a daughter, Amanda Hudson of Wood River, IL; 2 grandsons, Jeffrey and Zachary; 1 sister, Karen Sawyer of Lake Havasu, AZ; 1 brother, Greg Fuson of Folsom, CA; her father, Arnold M. Fuson and step-mother, Joan Fuson, both of Sacramento, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey Hudson.

Friends may call from 10 to 12 noon on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Staunton. A Funeral Mass will follow at 12 noon at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Staunton with Rev. George Radosevich officiating. There will be no burial, as her remains will be cremated per wishes of her family. Memorials are suggested to St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Staunton.
