Lucille M. Overbeay, 90, formerly of Worden, Illinois passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Taylor Springs, Illinois. Born September 14, 1927 in Worden, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Sam & Esther (Spaulding) Overbeay. She worked as a hairdresser in the area for over 40 years. Lucille was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Worden, Illinois. She dearly loved and cared for her parents until their passing. She attended Elementary & High School in the Worden and Staunton area, furthering her education at the Cosmetology School in Alton, Illinois. Lucille loved making many beautiful quilts all by hand and traveled all over entering her quilts in various quilt shows. She has been a resident at Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Taylor Springs, Illinois since the fall of 2014.

Friends may call from 9 to 10 AM on Monday, September 25 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. Funeral services will follow at 10 AM at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton with Rev. Kelly Mitteis officiating. Burial will be held at Worden City Cemetery in Worden, Illinois. Memorials are suggested to either Worden City Cemetery or to Trinity Lutheran Church of Worden.
