Larry D. Bruhn, 77 of rural Bunker Hill (West Prairie) Illinois passed away at Community Memorial Hospital in Staunton, Illinois on Sunday, June 11, 2017. Born September 1, 1939 on the West Prairie (rural Bunker Hill) family farm, he was a son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Floyd C. and Hazel Mae (Sawyer) Bruhn. He married Sharon K. Reschak on June 24, 1961 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Staunton and she survives. Larry was a self-employed farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon K. Bruhn of rural Bunker Hill, IL; 2 sons, Mark (Brenda) Bruhn of rural Bunker Hill, IL and Michael (Tamara) Bruhn of rural Bunker Hill, IL; 2 grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Bruhn & Michael Joseph Bruhn; 2 brothers, Clarence Bruhn of Staunton, IL & Darrell (Sharon) Bruhn of Maryville, IL. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive, as do the dogs, Dexter & Bella. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 sister, Darlene Johnson Bohlen and 1 brother, Norman Lee Bruhn.

Memorial services will be held later. Memorials are suggested to St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
