Bill and I grew up together from small boys. His Mother and my Mother worked Together in the same beauty shop. He will be missed. He was a fine person and a real American hero.

Adio, Harry - I guess we will not be able to finish the Volkswagen - I left most of the parts at the Kapok Street Address. See you out West!

I served with Harry at NKP from Sept 68 thru Sept 69 as a Jolly Green rescue pilot. His good humor was a welcome relief to a very tense business.

Pamela and I send our sincere condolences to "Uncle Harry's" family and friends.

I loved serving with him as a fellow helicopter pilot while we were stationed at Malmstrom AFB in Great Falls, MT. Major Harry "Hover" Walker was a true combat warrior, who longed to return to Vietnam or volunteer for any other hot spot to use his flying skills to defend our country's national security. Harry expressed his feelings about the purposes of an Air Force with memorable hanger soliloquies, which were always peppered with his unique humor. It was clear that "Hover" Walker knew the real reasons why our nation has an Air Force and why it needs a strong one. Major Walker made a lasting impression on me and my 22-year career in the Air Force.

Harry also impressed me with his love of family and his dessert preference (frequent, generous helpings of homemade cherry pie and ice cream). He and Karen made a great team raising children and nurturing close relationships among Air Force families.

My life-long friend Harry will be missed by Pamela and me and everyone who had the pleasure and privilege of knowing him.
